- Go to every supermarket chain at least once. None of them have all the GF foods you want. You will be surprised.
- Ask your local health food store if they can special order for you. Visit all the health and specialty food shops
- Repeat: Add only one new food or product to a dish at a time. You need to know what went wrong. You also need to know when you have discovered a flavour gem.
- Search engines: Type the food you want to eat + gluten free and voila!
- Try unexpected flavor combinations. Build a dish out of what you have. Make your best guess. Avoid eating the same rice and veggies ad nauseum.
- Ask other Celiacs or GF people what they for their secrets and discovers
- Get a belly rub.
- Spread the wealth. If you find an amazing product, let others know, they probably want delicious just as much as you do.
- Make enough for leftovers.
- Carry a GF snack bar in your jacket or bag just in case there are no safe foods one day when you are out and about (like that would ever happen
).
