Freedom of Voice

§ November 16th, 2010 § Filed under Gluten & Dairy-Free Living, Personal Development § Tagged , , , , § No Comments

You do not need a credential to speak about your experiences. The experience is the right. If you go through pain often, or if you suffered but now feel better, I have news. You are already the hub of a community waiting to happen. Your real experience is valuable. Never let someone convince you are not qualified to establish a voice and express what you wish– what you feel most deeply. We need people willing to stand taller than pure commerce and reach out to others beyond academics. Speak today about what you care about. Honesty is the credential of your voice. It will carry farther than you think.

Telling Readers What’s Up When Doing Other Things

First of all, If has been a while since I posted on CortCaldwell.com. The boss wasn’t paying me enough, so I took a long vacation. In fact, I have a number of things to report. I relocated to Vancouver 6 months ago, and finally got rigid contact lenses for my Keratoconus. I may add a blog entry about this condition and my experiences as I worked towards clear sight.

Also, I registered for Info barrel and have already published my first short article on gluten-free baking. Check it out: http://www.infobarrel.com/How_to_Bake_Gluten-Free:_Knowing_the_Basics.

If you would like to contribute to the site, feel free to sign up with this link: http://www.infobarrel.com/signup.php?ref_id=31619.

I will reformat this post with more detailed info and hyperlinks soon (right now I am just in QuickPress). You will notice some changes to  CortCaldwell.com, as well. Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions.

Practically Revolutionary Find #1: Free Ebook

§ December 20th, 2009 § Filed under Resources § Tagged , , , § No Comments

Update: With the site redesign, this post is obviously obsolete, but I will leave it here so you can access the ebook.

I did not brand my personal development site Practically Revolutionary Wellness Building because I believed every post and page I developed would be a stand-alone world-shaker. It is the theme cortcaldwell.com, and I will endeavor to provide practical uncommon insight that will help change the way you approach wellness. Obviously, every critic could find articles that are merely halfway revolutionary and subsequently thrash me for it, misunderstanding that the point is the journey. Each post shines a light on a place on the path for a step or a few. I will provide resources of my own, but also reviews and resources of others I think present challenging perspectives that will shine a spotlight on the way we live and think about ourselves.

Below you will find a free ebook containing the unique perspectives of over 70 major thinkers of the Digital Age. Definitely worth a look, or a complete read. I enjoyed it, even the bits I didn’t agree with. None of it is by me or has anything to do with me, beyond the occasional philosophical resonance. Did I mention it was free?

First Things First.

Update: I’ll leave up a couple of the “subject free” post from 2009 on Cortcaldwell.com for posterity. This site has not been a database for my content since early 2011.

This site will serve as a blog while developing into a fully featured wellness article database with podcast features and other surprises. Expect the first full blog entries on November 30. I think it is fitting to being adding content and updating— to simply begin to build from the ground up, and hopefully, some of you may be able to say that you grew with this site, and perhaps even picked up the tool belt with me. So often, growth comes in the face of states of uncertainty and underdevelopment. We press on.

Welcome to Wellness!

§ December 2nd, 2009 § Filed under Uncategorized § No Comments

Welcome to this new wellness resource. It is my hope that as it grows and develops, so shall many of you. Here, you will find a refreshing stream of content covering a number of wellness concerns but centering around daily practices and nutrition. Most of the content will have a practical edge while still being uncommon. I do not intend to rehash old advice you can google in seconds. Pick up the toolbelt with me, and let us chisel away a sliver or two.
